Got a 7510 with loader/backhoe this summer and love it. Put about 30 hours on so far. Hydraulics stopped working yesterday and checked the transmission fluid. It was nearly empty. It couldn't possibly have used that much in 30 hours, could it? Could there a bigger problem that would warrant a dreaded service call?
Many thanks...

I'd hate to think that nobody filled the tractor after attaching the loader and the hoe but it would drain the better part of the reserve. I'd have thought it would have been noticeable long before 30 hours unless you are now on a slope. ....

I think Art is trying to say: Fill it back up and see if it disappears again.
I would use Super UDT in any Kubota product over any other oil. ....

If it does persist with problems after you refill the housing you would need to find the leak and get it to the dealer if the pump had been hurt from oil starvation. ....

Quick update on the problem. I topped up the transmission but it the backhoe still didn't work. And, mysteriously to me, the frontloader started acting punky. It raised and dumped fine but was difficult to lower. I called the dealer's service dept -- they were very helpful -- and the manager walked me through a series of checks. Nothing worked until he said, detach and reattach all the quick connects. That did it. We're back in business.
Thanks again to all here who chimed in. Love this forum... ....
